What are Templates

Templates in TouchPoints.health allow you to create reusable content for documents, messages, and invoices, helping standardise communication and save time.

Where to find templates

Templates are accessed via the bottom hidden bar in the platform. When selected, you will see several template categories displayed as buttons at the top of the screen.

These include global headers and footers, clinical documents, SMS templates, invoice templates, and Patient Portal message templates.

Types of templates

Global headers and footers allow you to create branded headers and footers that can be applied to letters. You can create as many as you wish by selecting the plus new template button.

Clinical document templates are used for written correspondence. These are broken down into letters, which form the body of the document. You may wish to create different letter bodies for patients, GPs, specialists, or frequently used information letters.

SMS templates allow you to create standardised text messages for patient communications.

Invoice templates control the layout and content of invoices sent to patients.

Portal message templates are used for messages displayed to patients within the Patient Portal.

Using templates
Each template can be personalised using dynamic fields at the point of creation, ensuring patient and appointment details are inserted automatically.

Every template gives you the option to set it as the default, meaning it will be used automatically unless another template is selected.

There is no limit on the number of templates you can create.

Getting started
TouchPoints.health provides an initial set of templates during onboarding. You are free to edit these or create your own templates to suit your individual or clinic workflows.

If you need help creating or managing templates, please contact support@touchpoints.health for assistance.
