How to Enrol a Patient onto a TouchPoint Timeline

Enrolling a patient onto a Touchpoint timeline allows you to automatically schedule and send future touchpoints as part of a predefined pathway. The process is quick and can be managed entirely from the patient profile.

Enrolling a Patient

  1. Open the patient profile.
You can do this by clicking on the patient’s name anywhere in the platform.

  2. In the patient profile view, look to the Action column on the far right.

  3. Scroll to the bottom of this column until you see Enrol patient to touchpoint timeline.

  4. Click this option and select the appropriate timeline from the list.

  5. Confirm your selection.
All touchpoints associated with that timeline will now be scheduled and added as future events for the patient.

Once enrolled, the patient will automatically receive the relevant touchpoints according to the timing defined in the timeline.

Removing a Patient from a Timeline

If a patient needs to come off a timeline or pathway, for example if an operation is cancelled or delayed:

  1. Return to the patient profile.

  2. Review the scheduled future touchpoints.

  3. Delete the touchpoints that are due to be sent.

This immediately stops any further communications associated with that timeline. No changes to the original timeline template are required.

Key Points to Note

  • Enrolment is patient specific and does not affect other patients using the same timeline.

  • Removing a patient is done by deleting future touchpoints, not by editing the timeline itself.

  • Changes take effect immediately once saved.

This approach ensures timelines remain flexible while maintaining precise control over individual patient communications.
