This feature in TouchPoints.health allows Personal Assistants to flag documents for clinician attention at the point of upload, ensuring important information is reviewed.
When to use clinician review
Clinician review should be used when a document requires clinical input, approval, or awareness. This may include external correspondence, test results, reports, or other uploaded documents that need review before further action is taken.
How to mark a document for clinician review
When uploading a document to a patient record, PAs will see an option to mark the document for clinician review. Selecting this option at the time of upload flags the document for the clinician automatically.
What happens next
Once marked for clinician review, the document is clearly highlighted for the clinician within the platform on their Home screen. This ensures the document is not missed and can be reviewed efficiently as part of the clinician’s workflow.
Why this is useful
Marking documents for clinician review improves communication between PAs and clinicians, reduces reliance on separate emails or messages, and helps maintain a clear audit trail within the patient record. As a PA you have the ability to send an uploaded document e.g. blood results/imaging reports for clinician review.
You will see a "Clinician Review" checkbox and you have the ability to add a note for the clinician.
Documents awaiting review will have an exclamation mark on them on the timeline-
